Fortune Logistics Integration
The result
A running integration that moves transportation orders from SQL Server into a shipment-processing workflow, with an operator view of progress and logs.
The challenge
Connect operational order data with a separate transportation platform while making processing visible to the people responsible for it.
What shipped
Built a Next.js application that reads transportation orders from SQL Server, assembles stop and reference information, stages orders in MongoDB, and maps them into a TAI shipment integration. An operations dashboard provides order review, processing actions, and logs.
- SQL Server order and stop-data extraction
- MongoDB staging for normalized orders
- TAI shipment API integration
- Operator dashboard and processing logs
Crew on this contract
The Fortune Logistics integration connects operational orders to a shipment-processing workflow. A custom application assembles source data, stages it and exposes processing to an operator.
Connecting order data to transportation operations
Fortune’s logistics application connects operational orders held in SQL Server with a separate transportation platform. An order must carry more than a headline reference: stops, associated details, and the shape expected by the receiving API all matter.
A staged integration workflow
I built a Next.js application that extracts the relevant source information, assembles the order, and stages normalized records in MongoDB. A mapping layer then turns that information into the shipment request used by the TAI integration.
The staging layer gives the application a representation of the order that is separate from both the source database and the destination request. The operator dashboard provides review and processing actions alongside logs, making the integration visible to the people responsible for the workflow.
An operational application still in use
The delivered application continues to run. Its case study focuses on the data flow and operator controls; a screenshot is intentionally omitted because the useful screens contain operational information.
This is a concrete example of MongoDB-backed integration state and custom Next.js applications. Related migration work: VAST.
