**Role:** Captain · ship backbone
**Status:** Active

WordPress is the ship's backbone, the platform most engagements launch from. Not because it's the only option, but because it hands the client something they own outright: a deployable artifact, portable between hosts, with no per-order platform tax and no sunset risk on the theme underneath it.
## Why this ship runs on WordPress
WooCommerce powers roughly a third of the world's e-commerce, and the open stack is where the payment giants are landing: Stripe's Agentic Commerce Suite shipped with WooCommerce support on day one, and PayPal Enterprise followed. For a client, that means an open, inspectable foundation, not a walled garden, with the same payment rails the big platforms run on.
The practical payoff is portability. Because the entire app is a deployable artifact, the site can move from Kinsta to DigitalOcean with zero re-architecture. That's exactly what the release-packet and write-freeze deploy workflow is built to exploit: freeze writes at the edge, serve from cache, and upgrade PHP underneath without a visitor ever noticing.
## What I ship

- Custom TailPress block themes and the Duffion framework (custom CPTs that turn business data into queryable content)

- WooCommerce builds with custom territory-aware pricing and catalog logic

- Production PHP upgrades on live sites, zero downtime, Redis object-cache tiering

- Disciplined deploy pipelines: release packets, write-freeze gates, edge caching

The **%2$s**, including GOETZ Legal's Kinsta rebuild and LEGRANDE's zero-downtime PHP 8.3 upgrade, are listed below and cross-linked from each project.
