Crew on this contract
The ACS Professional Relations website organizes the division’s governance, programs and member resources. Duffion delivered the WordPress publishing structure and hosting for these distinct information needs.
Several audiences, one organizational website
The ACS Division of Professional Relations publishes information for members, officers, program participants, and people looking for grants or awards. The challenge was to make those different routes understandable within a single WordPress website.
Organizing the publishing workload
I built and hosted a site with clearly separated governance, grants and awards, programming, subdivisions, newsletters, and resource sections. The organization can publish recurring material within that structure instead of relying on a growing set of unrelated announcements.
The distinction between governance information and time-sensitive programs is important to the site’s role. A member seeking an officer or organizational resource should not have to follow the same path as someone looking for a current opportunity.
A maintained home for member information
The delivered website combines that information architecture with WordPress publishing and Duffion hosting. Its outcome is a usable organizational resource with identifiable destinations for the division’s different types of content.

What this project clarifies
Members looking for organizational reference material should not need to follow the same route as readers seeking a current grant or program. The named sections make those different publishing tasks explicit.
