Custom API Integration Services

Connect the systems your business already runs on

Custom API integration services connect the tools your business already relies on. I map the records, ownership rules and exceptions behind each handoff, then build and test the connection with your team. The result should be a workflow you can understand and operate.

The work behind the service

Sellers Mindset — Marketplace Pricing Bridge

A delivered Walmart Marketplace API–to–Google Sheets pricing bridge. It brought current lowest listed prices into the client’s product sheets for downstream retail workflows. Used for several years before the business closed.

Fortune Logistics Integration

Delivered order and logistics application work connecting business data and operational workflows. The application remains in use; the case study describes the implementation without exposing private screens.

Netcito — Chargify Integration

A historical subscription-billing integration delivered for Netcito. This case documents the connector work rather than implying an ongoing engagement or current platform compatibility.

Fulcrum POS

Retail software and Shopify integration work connecting product, inventory and order workflows. A concrete example of integration rules living alongside the operational system.

What custom API integration services can include

A spreadsheet, accounting platform or operational application may already do its own job well. The expensive part can be the work between them: re-entering records, checking which value is current, or repairing an incomplete import. The first step is to trace that handoff with someone who understands the process.

We establish which system owns each piece of information, how records match, what should trigger a transfer and which exceptions need human review. If a supported off-the-shelf connector covers those rules, that may be the right answer. Custom development makes sense when the missing behavior matters to the business.

What custom integration work can include

Mapping and validation. Translate identifiers, fields and business rules between systems. Decide how missing values, duplicates and changes should be handled before they become production surprises.

Transfers and recovery. Build scheduled or event-driven flows where the platforms support them. Account for rate limits, interrupted requests, retries and duplicate events. Failed records should have an agreed route for investigation and recovery.

Operational handover. Make the integration understandable to whoever will run it: what it processes, where failures appear, and which access or platform changes require attention.

From representative records to a controlled release

We begin with access requirements, API documentation and representative sample data. A useful first milestone proves one complete business transaction across the systems, including an exception path—not just a successful API response.

Before rollout, we agree acceptance cases, reconciliation checks, deployment responsibilities and a recovery plan. Historical backfills and ongoing synchronization are separate pieces of scope. For store-specific work, see Shopify and retail integrations.

Before we start

Can you connect a system that has no API?

Sometimes a supported export, import or vendor-provided interface is enough. I first check the access the system permits and the reliability the workflow needs. Those constraints determine whether a maintainable integration is possible.

Will everything update in real time?

Timing depends on the platforms, event support, rate limits and business requirements. We define an appropriate update interval and an acceptable delay before choosing the implementation.

Who maintains the integration after launch?

We agree ownership, monitoring and support responsibilities as part of the engagement. If the systems keep changing, ongoing development can cover a prioritized backlog of improvements.

What do you need to estimate the work?

The source and destination systems, a description of the workflow, approximate record volumes and examples of the exceptions your team handles. Share the business context through the contact form; access can be arranged separately.

Tell me which systems need to exchange information, what your team does manually today, and where that process breaks down. We can use that workflow to define a useful first scope.
